1. Environmental requirements:
Good ventilation: The generator set should be installed in a well ventilated and clean computer room. The computer room should be equipped with exhaust facilities, and the surface of the exhaust pipe should be wrapped with insulation material to reduce indoor heat dissipation.
Stay away from corrosive gases: Items that can produce corrosive gases such as acids and alkalis are not allowed to be placed in the computer room.
Exhaust duct: An exhaust duct should be installed to direct the exhaust gas from the diesel engine to the outside.
Fuel tank setting: A fuel tank with sufficient capacity should be set up, and the outlet position of the fuel tank should be higher than the top of the diesel engine cylinder.
Altitude limitation: Cummins diesel generator sets are generally required to operate at altitudes below 4000 meters, as high altitudes can affect their normal operation.
2. Operating conditions:
Voltage and frequency: The instantaneous voltage of the generator must be close (± 1%), the frequency/speed must be close, and the number of phases and phase sequence must be the same (3 phases and 4 wires).
Load distribution: When multiple generator units are connected in parallel, the load needs to be distributed proportionally, including the allocation of active and reactive power.
3. Installation and maintenance requirements:
Ventilation and heat dissipation: When installing, ensure that the radiator is close to the exhaust outlet to avoid hot air recirculation. The area of the exhaust outlet should be 1.5 times the exhaust area of the radiator, and air ducts and guide pipes should be installed if necessary.
Air inlet design: The total area of the air inlet should be at least twice the area of the unit radiator, and all air outlets should be able to prevent rainwater from entering.
Basic acceptance: Before installation, check whether the equipment foundation meets the installation size requirements.
