diesel generator control panel failures include the following:
1. Circuit issues: Abnormal circuit operation, insufficient battery power, corroded battery connectors or loose cable connections, poor cable connections, or charger failures can all cause the generator to fail to start or operate stably.
2. Sensor and instrument failures: Sensor or instrument failures may cause the control screen to fail to display data correctly, affecting the normal operation of the generator set.
3. Wiring issues: Incorrect or loose wiring of the control panel may result in signal transmission errors, leading to malfunctions.
4. Alarm shutdown: The control screen detects a fault in the diesel generator set and shuts it down. At this time, the fault needs to be eliminated before restarting.
5. Excessive water temperature: Excessive water temperature can cause the water temperature protection module to activate, causing the diesel engine to alarm and shut down to reduce the temperature.
6. Reverse power alarm: Inconsistent sag settings between two generators may trigger a reverse power alarm.
7. Sensitivity issue of alarm: Excessive sensitivity of the alarm or malfunction of the door switch may also cause the alarm to sound continuously.
Common fault phenomena and their handling methods include:
Unable to start: Check for electrical reasons, charge or replace the battery, check and repair the connecting cables and connectors.
Low or unstable speed: Replace the fuel filter, check the preheating system and governor.
Low voltage frequency or zero indication: Check the fuel system, instrument connections, and governor.
The insulation monitoring light is on but the voltmeter does not indicate: replace the fuse or repair the voltmeter.
The synchronization indicator light does not rotate: check and correct the wiring and phase sequence.
The generator output voltage is normal but the automatic air switch often trips: reset the thermal release, repair or replace the switch.
Abnormal instrument indication: Check the wiring, repair or replace the instrument.
