The main functions of the
diesel generator valve guide include guiding, sealing, heat transfer and reducing air flow resistance.
1. Guiding function: The valve guide guides the valve to ensure that the valve makes reciprocating linear motion so that the valve and the valve seat ring can fit correctly.
2. Sealing function: A small gap (about 0.05 to 0.12 mm) is reserved between the valve guide and the valve stem to ensure that the valve stem moves flexibly inside the guide and prevent gas leakage.
3. Heat transfer function: The valve guide conducts the heat of the valve stem to the cylinder head, helping to dissipate the high temperature generated by the valve operation and ensure the normal operation of the engine.
4. Reduce air flow resistance: The lower end of the valve guide goes deep into the intake and exhaust pipes, and its outer edge is designed to be conical, which helps to reduce the resistance of air flow and improve the working efficiency of the engine.
The design features of the diesel generator valve guide include its high temperature resistance and lubrication method. The valve guide can remain stable in an operating environment of up to 200°C, but its lubrication mainly relies on the lubricating oil splashed by the valve mechanism, so it is easy to wear and needs to be regularly inspected and replaced to ensure the normal operation of the engine.
